Denby Real Estate has been providing expert service in real estate to Nantucket, since our founding by Dick and Barbara Denby in 1967.

In 1979, after moving his family from Los Angeles, California to his summer home on Nantucket, H. Flint Ranney began working for the Denbys. In 1984, he purchased the company and began collecting real estate data and statistics, a service that was previously unheard of in real estate on Nantucket.

 

Flint helped establish Denby Real Estate as a leading market statistics experts. We are involved supporters of our community, and our all-around real estate experience and knowledge has been a plus for our clients whether buying or selling real estate.

When Flint retired, his son, Rob Ranney and his daughter Kate Ranney Sayle took over the business and have continued Flint's tradition of integrity and professionalism in the island real estate business, specializing in all aspects of Island real estate, including sales, market valuation, appraisals, real estate referrals, consulting and market statistics.

Since 2016, Rob has been working at the town Assessor's office, putting all of his hard earned real estate learning to work.

Kate runs the company as sole operator of Denby Real Estate, Inc. and has both her Massachusetts Broker's license and Certified Residential Real Estate Appraiser's license. She remains a member in good standing with the Nantucket Association of Real Estate Brokers, the Appraisal Institute and the Massachusetts Board of Real Estate Appraisers.
